Ive been wanting a new computer for a while now but I can't make up my mind if I just want to upgrade the computer i have already or just buy a brand new computer. the specs of my computer are here:
intel core duo with 1.60GHz
448 MB of RAM
ATI radeon xpress200m graphics card
Microsoft windows xp meida center edition.

this setup is just not what I'm looking for. I can't play any of the higher end games like guild wars without having major lag. the internet connection is not the problem because i have DSL. I know the ram is not any good but thats the whole point. should i upgrade my computer or just buy a new one?

Now a core 2 duo can be a desktop or a laptop chip, you should check the name.

If it is infact a 1.60GHz C2D, then you have an E2140, which is a decent chip. Assuming you have a PCI-e motherboard, you can simply pop in a new graphics card and 2gigs of RAM.

If you were wrong about the chip name and have a P4 or something, you will likely need a whole new system basically.

you cant really upgrade laptops besides their RAM... just build a computer.

yeah that was what i was afraid of..
and i dont want to fuck up my own computer lolz. ill have someone else build it and if they screw it up ill make them get me another computer.
