I tried Right clicking on desktop -> properties -> settings and it wont work
I tried pressing the buttons on my monitor and it wouldnt work please help

Probably need video drivers...
but what do you mean exactly by won't fit?

i think he means 1 of 2 things
the desktop is either too big or too small on the monitor

Some monitors have a auto adjust button on them, also like SaviourFamily said, you need video drivers installed.
