How long do you plan on keeping this system? If you plan to keep it for a couple years, go for the 2900pro. If you'll be upgrading in the near future, just go for the 2600pro. Remember since it's AGP, a new system you get won't support it so you'll have to get a new one anyway. |

| I plan to only keep this computer for around 1 month? The computer was bought during 2000 I think. I need to retire this computer. If I upgrade the video card, I might retire it later. |

If you're going to upgrade that soon, it'd be a waste to get a new video card that you won't be able to use a month from now. I'd hold off on the video card until you get a new machine. |

| I would upgrade to a motherboard with PCI-E slots if I had the money. You can install better video cards and it won't be obsolete in the short future. |
