| Can't plug my monitor into the card (can on the onboard vga port) without it not showing a picture, can somebody help? the card is a 8500gt and yes drivers are installed.

being an 8 series card it would have DVI connectors I would think,
mine has 2 and an adapter for the old com style connections which is what your vga connector would be
you can get an adaptor if your monitor uses the com type connector so you can plug into an older type monitor,
best of all is to get a monitor at some time that has dvi connections,
my monitor has both,
but at some point I suppose the com's will be phased out
anyway so you can check here is the wiki page with the dvi connector

you should be able to get an adaptor from a local dealer if you need to

ah well you didnt mention anything about dvi so was trying to politely help out,
in that case no idea mate
just make sure you got the latest forceware drivers cos there has been lots of issues with blank screen crap with the earlier drivers, even from earlier this year.

| i was sure to download the latest driver so thats not the problem, and as i can run guild wars at decent settings i know its not the card... but i doubt its my monitor, but i'll get a dvi cord soon, since this came with vga, when it also has a dvi port.
