Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (4x 2.4Ghz/8MB)
OR
AMD Phenom X4 9500 Quad-Core CPU
Which would be better for intense gaming? Like CS and BF2 and shit
ALSO, is the (4x 2.66Ghz/8MB) processor ALOT better than the (4x 2.4Ghz/8MB) one?

Intel, and no the 2.44 to 2.66 is not a big dif.. just overclock it.

Only if you want to overclock a lot.
The Q6700's multiplier is higher, so you can overclock more with less stress on the FSB.

No, what will 100 give you more ?
and you're getting Quad so you should be happy !, most games that come out now are in need of core 2 eXtreme, and you're already running into quad tech.

If you get a hold of the G0 stepping of the Q6600, you can overclock it to nice speeds only with air cooling (But not on the stock cooling though, the quad produces a lot of heat). The AMD phenom actually costs more and performes worst then Intels quad. Here's a review

Actually most games are not even optimized for the core 2 duo nor the quad.

Most games care more about RAM and your video card, not necessarily your processor.

I dont know what amd are doing at the moment,
they should concentrate on the am2 chips and get that am3 chip off the production line,
then again 8watts power consumption aint bad, I'll trade in my atari 520 for that

im forced to get a 2.8ghz dual core from amd because i already have the mobo... if i wanted to get intel i'd have to get another mobo, which i cant afford as well as decent proc.
