What is your favorite AV?

I prefer AVG, it's free and it's very reliable.

It is true anti Virus slow your PC down, but if you have a fast PC then you won't know the difference.

NOD32's detection & support is mediocre, but it's still light-weight.
I'm using Avira right now.

i used nothing then a virus screwed up my computer so i got AVG, then i got Norton (which screwed up my comp), then I got AVG again, then I got a new version of norton (which screwed up my comp {again}). so i got my AVG back Smile and so far my computer is perfectly safe.

well it never let me down before and if I'm really not sure I can just upload things to Jotti

I have windows defender, spybot search & destroy, yahoo anti spy, and AVG Razz

Why use an anti virus? Why not make your own kernel mode firewall and filter all the functions you don't want out (like people deleting hal.dll).

I am in the process of finishing mine off (it will even unmask root kits).
