What price tag would you put on this:
Processor: Genuine Intel i7 860 2.8GHZ Quad Core HT 3yr warranty
Motherboard: Genuine Intel DP55WG 3yr warranty
RAM: 4GIG DDR3 1333MHZ lifetime warranty
Hard Drive: 2TB Western Digital Hard Drive 3yr warranty
CD/DVD/Writer: LG DVD / CD Writer 2yr warranty
Extras: Multi Format Card Reader 1yr warranty
Shitty mouse and keyboard, do not want, like 50$ worth anyway, disregard this.
Network: Lan on Board
Video Card: GT450 Nvidia PCi-e 2yr warranty
Case: Midi Tower Case & 675w ToughPower lifetime warranty
O/S: Windows 7 Professional 64bit oem (55$ to upgrade to ultimate)
Anti-Virus: Kaspersky Anti Virus 2011
It's a quote I've gotten from our local computer shop (which I'm doing work experience at next year), but I just wanted to see what you knowledgeable bunch think of this. I'm not implying that he'd rip me off though he's very unproffesional, but yeah, what do you guys think about the parts themselves, too?
NOTE: This is not a prebuilt. It's a set of parts which he is going to help me put together, and because he's friends with our family he said he'd give me free LEDs, which is irrelevant to this important-ish note.
DID I JUST RAMBLE?

Hmm.. its a rather decent computer. W7 Professional, 2TB HD, Kaspersky...
$1300-$1450 after tax maybe?
Not sure about the gfx card though. I thought only 460+ supports DX11.

But 450 would run most high-end games currently out, right?
Also, the quote was for 1800$. This is also full warranty though, if something fucks up I'll have a new one by the end of the week, not have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to be shipped to Singapore and back. Oh well :<, I'm probably still going to end up getting this, by christmas I'll have almost 1000$ saved up from work, and my parents will pay the rest.

Yeah 450 will run fine.
An extra $250 on my first post, sorry about that. Completely forgot that I didn't buy a new gfx card when I built my computer D:

The LGA 1156 CPUs have a more aggressive Turbo mode than it's 1366 counterpart and it's cheaper too.
This Intel board is a ATX with three so call full length PCI Express x16, where the 2nd and 3rd PCIe slots are opened and cut off to represent the electrical capabilities.
2nd runs at x8, so instead of using a full length PCie x16 slot, Intel uses a open x8 type slot instead.
3rd runs at x4
Both WD Black and Blue HDD runs at 7200RPM, while Green uses Intelliseek
Them 2TB model currently are on the black and green models. Blue models don't have 2TB. With the board he picked for you, I doubt it will be a black drive. It's most likely a Green drive.
Green Drive does run cool (Got myself 2x 1TB) and these guys run at 5400RPM and may increase its speed if heavy load is detected. These drive are for storage, not for main computing.
Graphics: Lowest end in terms of you can play games, that supports Dx11.
OS: Suited for business, which has Windows XP mode.
Are you getting this crippled setup for free or you're paying for it?
If you're paying for it, then demand some major changes as this entire build looks like crap.
This is what I would change
Change to a board with at least 2x PCIe x16 and they better have physical x16 slots.
Reduce the HDD to 1TB, that way you can have a WD Blue drive, these runs at 7200RPM
Skip on the Windows 7 Professional and get yourself Home Premium.
This will save you some cash, and use that to get a better graphic card
Change that GTS 450 to at GTX460.
loose the AV, get a Free one such as Microsoft Security Essentials

I agree with kls on switching the graphics card to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460..I think its still in the top 10 highest performance gfxcards on the market (futuremark)..

As kls stated, dump Kaspersky, it should give you some headroom to work.

What do you mean you "can't upgrade anything", it does not make any sense?

He only has $1800.
The current parts will cost him $1800.
If he upgrades, it will cost him more.
It's not that hard...

From the looks of it, it seems OP has no choice but to get the parts that's listed?
A motherboard with 2x PCIe x16 is cheaper than one with 3x PCIe x16
Win7 Home Premium is cheaper than Professional
He can save on the AV and use MSE.
All of these money save can be used for better parts?
Why can't OP do that?
Is there a reason for it or what?
If that store does not give customer choices, then it's better to buy from somewhere else.
Also ItzSWAT (apologies if it's spelled wrong) had provided a useful link of a price list to MSY. Which is Australia's computer shop. Instead OP just blabbed out that site was useless and don't care much. If OP would have take a look at it, he could clearly see the price list for each component and whether he got ripped off or not.
Here is that price list
http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf
Edit:
I've just did a check on the OP's parts to MSY's price list and here are the results:
Core i7 870 (they don't have 860)
Intel DP55WG
G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333
WD 2TB SATA
LG DVD writer
EVGA GTS450
Thermaltake ToughPower 675w PSU
Thermaltake V3 case
Win7 Pro 64bit OEM
Kaspersky AV
Logitech MX518 gaming mouse
USB keyboard
All of this adds up $1,359 Australian dollars.
Out of OP's total $1,800, where the fuck (I'll repeat),where the fuck
does that $441 dollars come from?!
$1800 minus $1,359 equals $441
All of the money values are in Australian dollars

I would put it at around $1500AU. But $1800 isn't that unreasonable.

Wall of text:
Does that include Warrenty? Postage and handling? Will they be helping build the computer? If something breaks down, can you replace it without needing to mail it?

Pretty much this, it's annoying when people are constantly just mindlessly saying 'GO TO MSY' as if it's an option for me.
