this is beein driveing me crazy, i'm lookin at this tutorial and it says "Load your CT, or make one now, and target the game as a process." so i'm wondering, what the heck is a CT?

Its a Cheat Table, a table with cheats (hacks) you made.
It can contain manualy added addresses, scripts and pointers.
The lower part of cheat engine is the table where you store all your hacks.
You can add a script by going to memory view -> press Ctrl+A -> paste there the script -> Go to File in the menu -> Assign to current cheat table.

Not really enough info to answer that question. Did you freeze your XP, nop an address, or something else?
