Thanks appal, but how come everyone has to give links to stuff. Is it because they can't quite understand it or they just don't feel like explaining. But still, thx...
Edit:
It didn't help. MSDN never helps me. It just gives parameters and never gives example code(s) and explaining how they do what they do. And when I said registering hotkeys, I just meant to make a hotkey so that when it's pressed it starts the code.

Because people don't want to code for you? And the internet is full of documentation.

its easier just posting a link, but also you didnt ask for an explaination just if it was possible.
i'm sorry but i dont know, and never tried this feature so i can help you with it.

| MSDN is pretty much your number one stop for API needs.

Ok, I'm sorry. But it is easier to post a link. And you're right, I didn't say I wanted a code, just how to do it.
@zomgiownyou
It's just easier for me to understand things when someone gives me an example.

i feel the same way, i'd rather have a short text description about the code, and then the source.
rather than a long text which descripes every single function of it ...
edit: Probably smartest person on cef.. well, of course dark byte is probably the smartest because he made ce. but appalsap is always around with quick replies and knows the answers to almost all questions getting asked. also dark byte isnt that active on the forums. But of course i repped Dark Byte too ( not today, i dont remember when i did it )

MSDN gives you examples.

The explanations aren't that long and they explain it well. Besides you can have everything given to your hands every time.

Good point. Thank you. I probably should have pointed out it was in delphi. And I probably also should have said without the GlobalAddAtom too, but I guess that wak works too
Edit:
I know it gives examples. Just it didn't that time, it just gave the syntax and explained the parameters. If it gave me an example it would better help me understand how to use the RegisterHotKey Function()

okay, since no1 else is gonna explain it to u, i will
first put some buttons n stuff, then drop a timer from the system tab (looks like a white clock)
click events --> click OnTimer --> dbl click timer --> code page pops up
| Quote: |
procedure TForm1.Timer1Timer(Sender: TObject);
begin
if odd(GetAsyncKeystate(VK_RETURN)) then
begin
(button1.click); //when hotkey pressed, does the same thing when button1 is clicked
end;
end; |
put the green code there
the underlined part is the button which acts as the hotkey(in this example, i used "enter" key, when enter is pressed it does the same thing as when button1 is clicked
VK_F1-12 = F1-F12
the bolded part is the thing which is done when enter key is pressed
hope this helped
the registerhotkey function can be found from delphi help and an example how to use it
