if you got a usb socket and a gig flash stick to put in it have your tried what this guy said,
sounds and interesting idea to get over the no-cd working prob if it works,
also have you tried slaving the drive in another pc yet,
all the advice in the world is no good unless your giving it a go,
if you have got usb to mess around with tho try that and see if rapion124's idea works,
