Probably, all of DELL stuff has probably moved over to PCI-E by now.
Does DELL still use bizarro PSU's that hate everything non DELL because they are wired backwards or something stupid like that?

As far as I can see no, in the link you gave me it's a HD 2600XT 512MB and in the review, it's a HD 2600XT 256MB

Besides anything less then a 8800 cannot run DX10 at playable frame rates were talking getting anything from 6-12fps.
So either get a 2900 from ATI or 8800 from NVIDIA, or go with a high end DirectX 9 card. That is if you didn't bought your card yet. |
Wrong on that, I can run crysis on my dual 8600 gts' and it runs great. |
Eww dual midrange cards, I see someone fell victim to SLI marketing.

October 24th 2007? Anyway, those frame rates are horrible, you are getting 30-40fps without nothing happening on your screen.

Well, if he would have had common sense and gotten a single high end card rather than 2 mid-range cards, I bet his FPS would have been quite a bit higher. But common sense is in short supply these days

Not exactly. Nvidia's high end cards may be more powerful, but 95% of the video card market is for low and mid-range cards, and ATI's 3870 looks to be pretty good price/performance for the mid-range.
Now back on topic, I would recommend a 1950pro or xt, they will give you better performance, and you can get an open box 1950pro for $99 on newegg. Of course you won't get DX10 that way, but DX10 sucks at the moment, and a weak card like the 2600XT won't handle DX10 decently anyway.

ah, but see, if you get one card for free, it changes everything.

wtf... lol, I took those yesterday. my computer's time's messed up, it's what happens when you rebuild your computer.
And I'm not trying to say I get great framerate, but it's very playable on medium.

| nVidia are made for games, ATI is made to all but nVidia are aiming their cards for games only.

Stop correcting people while you make mistakes too, it's NVIDIA not "nVidia". Anyway, yes, currently, NVIDIA's high end cards perform better the ATI high end cards.
