Check out bios kernal viruses.
another comeback shot down. |
Would you shut the fuck up with your hot shot complex?
The BIOS is completely separate from the HD and has nothing to do with reformatting.
Besides, newer computers' BIOS are read only. |
Not if you flash it, how do you think they do bios updates?
Btw not a hot shot complex I just generally don't like you :]

You can flash your BIOS from within your OS on boards that support it. Plenty of Asus boards will do it.

That's fine and all, but BIOS viruses aren't that big of a deal.
If you still have a virus after a reformat then just d/c your BIOS.

Okay seriously, you are now a noob to me, A BIOS IS WHAT STARTS THE WHOLE PROCESS, IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE A MOBO YOUR CPU WOULD NOT WORK NOR WOULD THE WHOLE COMPUTER.
Please go google how a bios works.

No really just turn off the BIOS you'll be fine.
BIOS updates are not automatic, but are only critical and manual updates.
The BIOS reverts to read-only after the update.
There are no more BIOS viruses.
Period.

So, I'm drinking this water, right? I normally drink juice or soda or something, you know? And after a few sips of this "water", I feel like choking. Is this bad?

As much as I agree, this is the wrong section. I post a lot of problems here myself, after the fact I google. The solutions either fail for me or just nothing there. I agree with the new rule "google it"
