| My idle temps depend on my room. Its cold outside so the heat has been on and im idling around 45c. During cooler times in my room down like 32c, gfx card too. It really depends on your room's temp.

if you have an older-type computer, i recommend you check if the thermal paste is bad. (A way to check is to see if it has dried up.)
If it's dry, it won't conduct the cooling that your CPU needs. I recommend you don't take your heatsink off the CPU YET because you will need to take off the old paste and apply the new paste.
Also, make sure your airflow is not constricted/blocked. There needs to be a pretty decent flow of air through your system.

His temps are fine.
If the ventilation was bad, it would be overheating and shutting off rather than just heating up (Which is normal  ).
