32 bit if you plan on using trainers and downloadable items. Most things work only on 32 bits UNLESS programmed/edited otherwise. 64 bit is faster and nice BUT not that many programs will work for it.

I know about the 32-bit emulation. I just find it annoying to reinstall all my programs and games.

Speaking of which, can I simply copy the registry I have now and implement it into the 64-bit registry? Would very much save me the hassle...
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REINSTALL ANYTHING! Maybe ONE PROGRAM you have might say "Please download the 64-bit version of this program instead," and it'll give you a link to the download.

And do not copy over your registry. That's a good way to fuck up everything.

Remember, if you don't use 64-bit, you'll have half a GB of RAM not able to be used.

@Gogogo, hardly any programs won't work in 64-bit.

Wait... I DON'T have to reinstall stuff? It's supposed to be a clean install of 64-bit, not an upgrade.

If it's a clean install, you'll have to reinstall things. Though I'm sure a number of programs will run with just their working folder(s).
