aside from GTA4 a 500 dollar build will run enough for the other games..
also if you just remove vista from his build, its even cheaper so Rolling Eyes

Believe it or not, a good quality 550W PSU is more than enough for either my or your hypothetical build. 850W is nothing but overkill.
i7 920 > Q6600
Xigmatek DK-S1283V > COOLER MASTER Hyper Z600
3GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM (running in tri-channel) > 4GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM (running in dual-channel)
500GB 7200RPM w/ 16MB cache WD HDD < 640GB 7200RPM w/ 16MB cache
GTX 285 > GTX 260
AS5 = AS5
DVD burner = DVD burner
No mouse < Logitech G5
No keyboard < Logitech G15
Monitor speakers < Logitech X-540
22" Monitor > No monitor
No OS < OS

Tl;dr, my hypothetical box is better than yours, your hypothetical peripheral, less the monitor, are better than mine

I have a feeling this is only the first time this is going to be quoted on the site. As for the thread, until OP says something significant, I think it's pretty much spent.

Also, with the Antec 900, it's pretty hard to do shit in it, it's pretty small. I'm using an Antec 900 and it kinda pissed me off when building it, I could hardly fit my hand in a lot of places, also took awhile to put in the HDD, was kinda confusing.
