Many people say that the way it's looking, there is going to be no noticeable difference between the new 9 series and the 8800GT Ultra.
(Thats what I've heard from very intelligent people)
ALSO: UnlmtD, YES, imma rape crysis. I will record it on video of me running it on high... I plan on OC'ing my core 2 duo to run at a clean 3.55ghz...
It's happened before |
What? No noticeable difference? You don't know what you're talking about.
YOU WILL NOT RAPE CRYSIS GET IT IN YOUR HEAD! OVERCLOCKING YOUR PROCESSOR WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING. NO ONE EVER WAS ABLE TO RUN CRYSIS AT THE HIGHEST IQ AT HIGH RESOLUTION AT PLAYABLE FPS. GOD!
You think that people haven't tried that already? They weren't able to do so with Tri-SLI and with a overclocked extreme processor (4GHz+), you think with your computer you will beat that? Think again.

Try going www.yootube.com and search Crysis.
To Daaamon: UnLmtD's correct. Overclocking your processor makes no differences. It's not that your processor is not fast enough, it's because of insufficient of graphic power.

1st of all, there's no GT for Ultra... And what you mean is an ordinary 9 series card can beat an 8800 Ultra? Then it's a very noticeable indeed. 8800 Ultra happens to be a very very strong card, and if NVIDIA can produce 9 series card which performs as good as 8800 Ultra at lower price, then it's a very big difference.

A better processer might work nicely here.
Or you can just get a job with the CIA or something and hope you dont get caught playing games on their pcs

Lulz impossible, I got crossfire, 4 gbs of ram, quad core and it still doesn't go past medium, it does high with about 10-20 fps. I gotta check with the patch later.

Exactly, no one can run Crysis on DX10 with a sufficient amount of FPS yet.
Once the 9 Series comes out, you'd probably pull 60~75 FPS maxed if you use Quad-SLi.

Well then don't say you are going to "rape" Crysis. Because it's going to be the quite opposite of that, when you are man enough to try the highest IQ.

Well I don't know where you read your reviews, but what you're saying doesn't make sense. A benchmark came out for the 9600GT, it was head to head with the 8800GS/GTS (320MB) Don't say there won't be any noticeable difference with the 8 series and the 9 series because I don't see a 8600GT being able to compete with a 9600GT.
You can be optimistic for your new PC, but there's a limit.

In Soviet Russia, Crysis rapes you.
Also, rule 34 on Crysis raping you.
