You need to set up the firewalls on the clients to allow networking if you haven't already. In most cases if you add the ranges 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.110 that should cover it (with some routers it's 192.168.2.100 - 192.168.2.110)

If you can already share files and see the other computers on the network then this isn't your issue.

it can use the same compression as tight if you really feel like it, but other wise; it's fucking ULTRA

what's not to love. and it has some ridiculous driver that i never got working which apparently helps. these things are mainly bandwith restricted as far as i know.

Ok, basically a RAT (Remote Administration Tool) is like Remote Assistance, but they don't know they have it. They are actually legitimate programs but a lot of them have the ability to hide themselves like trojans. Sounds like the thing you want. (Key-log, take over their mouse/view their screen, etc.)

nah i just want to use what i already have (Remote Desktop Control)

and i guess since they have xp they would already have their firewalls enabled by default, so i'll check that out and make sure it lets it in through the same port i port forwarded, then i'll try it.
