Nah I mean like. Shit is hard. Times are hard. No good work anywhere.
And it seems like I'm about to be homeless because my mom can't take the fact that she is a retard.

| Even though I'm an AMD fan, their high-end product line just plain sucks right now, there's no denying that. The AMD quad costs more, performs worse, and overclocks less. Get a Q6600, or wait till early next year for mainstream Penryn chips.

| AMD Just rushes their production to try to challenge Intel's Cpus, but it's backfiring.

Rushes their production? Barcelona came out over a year after kentsfield, that's late as shit, not rushed.

QFT
I myself used to be a hardcore AMD fan, when they had the Athlon 64 out it was completely raping the P4 in every way, now their quads are not only far weaker, there's very little supply, they're late as shit, the L3 is bugged, they pull far more power than the equivalent Intel, I just can't recommend them to anyone.
Go for the Q6600 if you're buying now, if you can wait a few months the 45nm Penryn chips are coming out early next year and perform better, overclock farther, and put out less heat.
EDIT: Realized I already replied to this topic a month ago, oh well

well the am2 or am3 might be better,
if intel rule the roost with no competition you will regret it as they will put their prices up like mad,
they have already been too expensive and lets not forget when the p4 first came out it was buggy as fuck as well

The AM3 only adds support for HT3 and DDR3, neither of which are going to help any of the issues they have now. I'm not an AMD hater, if anything I'm an AMD fan, but there is absolutely no reason to get an AMD quad right now and the future doesn't look too bright for them.

Listen to the video closely, they are not comparing an Intel processor vs an AMD processor. It's a very misleading video that doesn't prove anything.

That, and they're comparing 8 3GHz cores to 16 1.9GHz cores, and considering that adding cores doesn't scale as linearly as increasing clock frequency, wonder which one will win.

Hopefully AMD actually manages to get back on it's feet.
Getting beaten in GPU's and CPU's, not good.
