my 60GB HDD no longer supports my gaming needs due to the fact that the latest games needs higher disk capacity

i am planning to install windows 7 but i fear it will not be able to support my softwares and games

there are softwares that says: comaptible with xp / vista
ive never seen a software that says its compatible with 7

as for games, i look at the box cover to see what OS does it support
but ive never seen windows 7 on it

can windows 7 run games and software made for xp and vista?

Windows 7 is simply to new for software to officially support Windows 7. I'm pretty sure that as soon as Windows 7 is in the stores, much software will begin to support it as well as Vista

The reason games don't say they support it is because Windows 7 hasn't even come out yet, just the beta.

What supports vista, mostly support windows 7 as well. And only a few software/games for windows xp can be compatible with windows 7. It depends on the structure build.

The box doesn't says it supports Windows 7 because it's not officially out for sale yet. But technically, they will run just fine, with or without XP emulation.

Probably around the same as Vista when it first came out, depends on the version you get (Ultimate, Home, Media Center etc.)

The price will be the same as windows vista, and of course editions vary.

- Starter = £50
- Home Basic = £100
- Home Premium = £150
- Business = £170
- Ultimate = £200

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop, and of course, the beta build, and it's really great. Big difference in performance between vista and 7.
