Why would you need to overclock man? At 3.2 Ghz, that's better then most of the people that reside this forum man. Get some more RAM if you really think your computer is slowed down.

^^ Just because it is 3.2ghz does not mean it is better than a dual-core @ 2.4ghz or a quad-core at 1.2ghz!
Anyways, if you did not build this computer yourself you cant overclock

a dual core 1.8 is better than a p4 3.2 and if you dont know how to overclock dont do it your most likely going to burn something out

Try Google.
If you didn't build your own computer, then your overclocking options will probably be extremely limited.
For a computer with those specifications, you're best off getting a new one. Just to upgrade the parts to a "modern" system would require an upgrade to all the parts.
The highest I expect you can overclock under any circumstances (air cooling) is about 3.6-3.8GHz.

i doubt he will get anywhere... he will probably either have to use a program ( almost never works ) or do some hard mods

Basically, you just need to increase the FSB properly and if required, increase the voltage and make sure you run some stress tests to make sure your computer is stable. You can do all of the above via the BIOS, although referring to the stress tests, Google will give you some results!

Majority of all people uses dual cores which is much much better than single cores(like the intel pentium 4)
I don't recommend you to overclock, p4 isn't a reliable CPU when it comes to overclocking, your GPU is probably integrated as well and your RAM isn't overclock-friendly.
Don't overclock.

Why not just attempt to overclock the old comp and if it fails, buy a new one? How old is the computer? Pentium 4 3.2GHz was like 3 years ago...
