You never mentioned what you do with the computer...?
Can't recommend one without that.

O yea...I don't play games a lot with the only i currently have but I guess I would use it for gaming and such. I've heard that quad core suck for games, but rock at multitasking. So yea...mostly for gaming, browsing web and posting crap is random spam.

Dual core is now, quad core is the future. Right now, I'd get a dual core, and swap it when you really aren't happy.

If i get it now, I'll still be able to run most of the games?

Yes. Currently, most games can only use two cores. The very newest might have support for multi-core CPUs above 2 logical cores.

Anything source engine will use 4+ cores happily.
Anything unreal engine 3 will use 4+ cores happily.
Anything on cryengine 2 will use 4+ cores happily.
Call of duty 4 will use 4+ cores.
Supreme Commander...
Assassin's Creed...
Flight Sim...
and so on...

It's coming out march 20something I think...
However a pre-release version leaked, it's playable but it crashes at least hourly. I have it, I've played it and it's awesome outside of the damn crashing.

Depends... Get Q9550 or Q9450. 45nm procs are much better compared to its predecessor like Q6600 or Q6700.

Yeah, just noticed. I think I'll wait for the official release
Thanks again. |
It's out for the Xbox 360, too...
Which in mine, and many other opinions, is a nearly necessary system.
