I like the tutorial but it is missing things like when to use what search. Determining what type of value something is whether it be float or double etc. That really is the thing that trips up people the most. Trying to find a double value with a float scan isn't very successful as you may imagine.

Okie went thru tutorial i can do all that just fine till i get to the find a pointer section(step6).here is what i do and it fails ALLLLL the time everytime.

1. I get the number. click the "what accesses this address"
2. get 1 entry 1002f906-8b 00 - mov eax,{rax}
3. click more info, get "probably is" 000000278
4. back to CE6.3 type value in Hex get 1001b6054
5. click button (add address manually)
6. box pops up dont enter address in address bar but instead click pointer box at bottom like all tutorials say to do.
7. type in 1001b6054 it then erases it to look like 1b6054 (this normal i dont know)
8. click ok and all i ever get is ?? for a value ..

does anyone see what i am doing wrong?

a user named "gameplayer" made a table for Red Alert 2 and YR and there you could activate a script that would make any units and even buildings veteran or elite(depending on the number 1 or 2 that you put in the script), just by clicking on the unit.

What is the name of such a script? Is there any tutorial here that you could point me to?

I really want to learn how to do it since I've had so much more fun playing RA with this table.

I am using Cheat Engine 6.2 to hack Shadow Fight on Facebook. I changed the values for the coins and also froze as it was changing back to its real value when I did not freeze the value. When I changed the value of the coins to 5000 it works but when I try to buy something that can be bought with this amount of coins, it says NOT ENOUGH MONEY. As in the change in money is only in the display but it has actually not made any difference in the game. Please help, thank you.

Hi! My name is Kim and today I downloaded and installed the Cheat Engine version 6.4. I tried doing the First Tutorial so I have it set at Exact Value and the Value Type is 2 bytes. I made my first mistake by starting out and typing in the first value for the first scan as 1000 not 100. Then after that I would click hit me and my HP would go down. So I tried entering the value 99 in the value box, but I didn't get a list of any Addresses. I tried again realizing my first mistake when I reread the tutorial and entered 100. Then I clicked Hit Me again and again my health went down. Then I tried entering the next current hit me value and again when I entered it there were no addresses or single addresses left. I have kept using the Hit Me Values over and over again and now my current HP is 88 and whenever I enter it as a value I always keep getting no single addresses and I can't go onto the next step in the Tutorial. What am I doing wrong and why do I keep getting no single addresses? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and am beginning to panic. Please Help Me. Sincerely, Kim Crying or Very sad
