Like another person in this thread said, look at the history of Microsoft Operating Systems...

Windows XP: Awesome Operating system, it gets the job done fast without any flashy effects.
Windows Vista: OK operating system. It's exclusive to a lot of things, but isn't really worth it because it wastes most of its processing power and RAM on the flashy effects. You can only do basic things on it.
Windows Vienna: Flashy effects....yay, shiny, pretty, shiny...shiny...No.

I wish Microsoft would realize those of us that have better than a single digit IQ don't care about stupid flashy "glass" effects, we want efficiency and compatibility. If I want my OS to be pretty, I'll get object desktop and do it myself.

Also, those screenshots look very fake to me. The next version of Windows was supposed to be a complete change from what we're used to, that just looks like a skinned Vista to me.
