Yeah, but I doubt eye sight would cure by working it more (not wearing lenses or glasses)... right? |
Wearing glasses all the time is good but only if you don't watch tv/computer and any other damaging radiation emitting device (I'm only assuming this because my friend did this for 1 year, and now he doesn't need his glasses).
When you're young, your body still grows, so there's a higher chance of recovering, but if your old, there's no chance. |
Maybe they want your eyes to get worse so that you keep coming back for more money
My optician said the opposite. Only wear my glasses when watching Tv, or any distance things that might get your eyes to work harder. |

Been to two different optician, i dunno. they might be scamming me. but oh well, i just visit them like once every 6month. i just buy my lenses through lensway.com (cheaper, faster, better)

CONTACT LENSES ARE NOT BAD FOR YOU.  Also the side effects you mention only happen to some people (redness) and idiots (people who decide to scratch their eyes). There are also hard contact lenses. Those don't rip and you wear them at night. They reshape your cornea for the day. Contact lenses do not cure you. It is a tool not a cure. Only way is through corneal reshaping (surgery). Light is radiation, we see it everyday. Your eyesight getting worse is due to genetics, not your tv or computer. There is no such thing as recovering from near/far sightedness or astigmatism (naturally).

| Yes, .25 is a big difference. The convenience of having the same prescription for both contacts will be outweighed by the contacts not doing their job. My contacts are -5.25 and -5.50, if I mix them up I can tell right away. Solution: take them back out and put them in the correct eye, not that fucking hard. Cases are clearly marked L and R on either side. tl;dr your optometrist is an idiot. Go back and get the proper prescription, and enjoy not fucking up your vision.

yeah my eyes are suppose to be 5.25 and 5.00 and he gave me 2 5.00's

Well the thing is, yes slowly those .25 get worst because your vision
gets worse after time because your brain starts shutting it down because
you cant see properly. If those .25 add up then you're in trouble.

I've been wearing contacts for 4 years, and hardly ever take them out... I do have some redness, but never have had any problems.
Not telling you to do what I do... I want to change what I do, but just won't take the time to.
Contacts are great if you ask me... And I have an astigmatism which means something is up with my eye (don't really know what it means) but when I use glasses it's like looking into a curved peice of glass, and I can't focus on it...
