The nvidia gt320m could undoubtedly run a light game like tf2 or l4d2 at respectable framerates and settings.

Oh, superbly so. But at least they're starting to actually buck up and put real components into their computers, the 9400m was insulting.

They often put high quality parts in their machines. :\

They just charge ten billion times more than they should.

You talk as if that's the only GPU that Mac has ever used. That's a normal MacBook. MacBook Pros have been around for quite a while and have had better ones. Not to mention iMac/Mac Pro.

You say that as if they support anything other than what they give you.

Prior to the new macbook pros, they too had 9400ms. You have to spend 1500 dollars on an iMac to get a 256 mb 4670, which isn't terrific either. Mac pros are ridiculously expensive to support only 1-4 geforce 120's or a 4850. So, yes, the new macbook pro series's hardware is the first that's pretty respectable.

You're still paying a massive amount, respectable hardware or not. A 4850 is respectable. In fact, a 4670 is respectable. Also, you totally disregarded that the iMac and Mac Pro support 4870s, which are definitely respectable. I mean, not as top-tier cards, but still fine (not like much gaming is being done on Macs anyway).

Also, by making a most expensive build as possible, I made a $20,854.90 Mac Pro.

I remember there was GTX 285 for the Dual Xeno macs, just add few raid controller to make it 40,000

Of course, I never said anything about it not costing that much. My point is that it's ridiculous for a desktop that has a super high processor to be paired up with a 4870. There's no option to put anything better in, cost aside!

But why would you ever need anything more than a 4870 on a mac? Why would you ever even need a 4870 for a mac in the first place?
