Well the fact is Visual basics is a noob language. It is were alot of programmers start. =P heares my advice, master VB. lol or not master it but get 70% through it then go to Microsoft VC++ 6.0

Yea man lets just learn VB then jump in the old outdated version of VC, makes sense. It isn't a noob language and tons of people DON'T start there.

I suggest you learning C# next year so you'll be ready for the year above and you'll pwn all the noobs and the teacher will go like:

"Very nice....simsguy...." then BAM! he'll approve you to a better unit Wink

Well there are many reasons people want to learn to program. People don't learn to program so they can hack. Its not enough. Its because thats what they want to do when they get a job. Work with Microsoft. Making your own applications is like a hobbie. Its I don't get why people don't want to learn how to program, I don't get why my friends think programing is boring. Its really fun actually. Sure if you go right into C++ your going to say "fuck this bullshit" but if you take is slow you will find it really interesting. =P I tried to speed right through C++ and was so sad to find out I did'nt get a thing at chapter 3. =P the book was pretty crapy either way.
