It's because you're finding the dynamic address, the one that changes everytime you die/restart the game/change level/etc, you need to find what writes to that address, the static address (never changes), and change the instruction it gives.
The Cheat Engine Tutorial will show you how to do this

I've been using CE for a LONG time, just never posted on the forums until now. |
Same goes for me, I've been using CE and making UCE's for a long time, but I never felt the need to register.

I mostly meant, like somtimes i'm hacking a game and it works. then i try again lets say a few hours later and i use the same stradegy but it doesnt work. Does it like build new protection?

So once you've found the static address, how do you edit it, if you dont mind me asking. I am a CE noob and i keep changing the Dynamic and it keeps changing back after using it once. So if i want it to stay the same and keep its effect, i should change the static right? Just cant figure out what to do after ive found what writes to a certain address.

Look in the Tutorials ---> Auto Assembler Tutorials section.
Read up on registers, basic instructions, and what not.
That'll help you understand static address editing. :]
