First of all, sorry if I have errors when I am explaining, I'm learning English.

Well, my problem is that I'm trying to get more gold in a MMORPG, I think you don't know it, it's an argentinian game (ArgentumOnline).
I started a few hours ago with Cheat Engine 5.3 and I got the adress of my gold (00569200), but I can't do nothing, injecting code I could modify this value and in the game window appeared the value I put, but when I wanted to buy something I couldn't because of the money, and when I restarted the game the gold came back to normally.
That means that I can modify the client value but not the server value...

Have you got any idea of how could I get the gold right?

I'm getting crazy with this problem.

This means that I'll never can hack the gold or there is another way to do that?

OK, thanks. I'm trying to use WPE Pro, but I can't modify packets... I read in another topic that with WPE I should do "something" but I don't know how to modify packets.

would it be possible to simulate a message to the server which would give you gold, say through the selling of an item? if you can track down the signal thats sent from client to server when you sell an item, you could, in effect, tell the server your selling a high quality item for lots of money, even though you don't have the item, but the server may still add the gold to your account.

EDIT: The game seems to be all server side, when I sell something the game sends a packet to the server with the funcion VEND,6,1~0 (VEND is the function, 6 is the slot where I have the item and 1 is the ammount)...

All in the game is like that, do you know if there is a posibility to do something? What posibility?

I looked for info. about hacking a server side game but I couldn't find nothing about it...
So I think I can't hack the game, because I'm not a hacker!

But I have the source code of a previous version, so I'll look for a vulnerability. The game is on Visual Basic 6. Shocked
