How do I cheat?

Currently using Cheat Engine 7.5 and after getting the prompt to visit the site for the new available version 7.6 and downloading the CheatEngine76.exe it just installs Cheat Engine 7.5

tried removing Cheat Engine 7.5 folder from C:\Program Files and restarting but installation76 keeps installing 7.5 for me

or is this an elaborate april fools on us? Embarassed
