I built the driver myself following a guide on Unknown Cheats, and it loads DBVM just fine. Defender flags it as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml, but on other occasions when built, it may have a different name.

Can this be safely dismissed as a false positive?

anything ending with !ml can be ignored. It just means it looks scary (based on machine learning )
