| Does anyone know why Cheat Engine is laughing manically at me periodically? I just updated to 7.5 and 7.4 didn't do this.

TLDR: This installer is bad, the laughing is not funny for those of us that downloaded this from the official site.
Suggestion: If this is for pirates then keep the laugh but realize that non-pirates (me) can install this from the CE website in a way you may not have expected. So please at least make a window pop up saying something like "Naughty pirate, install this the right way" or something so that those of us that didnt pirate it know that we just need to install it again.....
Yea that's not the case every time. I downloaded it from the CE website put it in my allow list on Malwarebytes (the one that always blocks it). I always scan every file I download with multiple virus/malware tools before installing. It then went through the ad heavy install (which is said no to all of them) then had a checkbox to open CE upon exit. When I exited the installer it got flagged for some reason by Malwarebytes again and put in quarantine (the file in question was in the temp folder). I restored it assuming we were all good now.
Nope, done see it anywhere on any drive. Did a search, nothing. So I did the installer again so Malwarebytes could quarantine it again and I could read the file location (AppData/local/temp/cheat Engine). Confused as to why that would matter I go through the install again to see if I missed a box, nope. So I recover the file a second time and go to that file location, nothing is there.
At this point I just paste the file path(from the quarantine) and lo and behold a different installer pops up. This installer looks like all the old installers and actually allows me to pick a file destination upon install. I think ok just another hoop to get to this real installer, whatever as long as it works. It installs, I see it on my D: drive and I open it to make sure its working. Next thing I know im randomly hearing this stupid fucking laughing at max volume while im doing other things at 3am. This being the only thing ive downloaded in a while i knew it was CE. My initial thought was that I did in fact download one of the dumb ads and now I had a stupid virus.
To be sure I google CE + Laughing and looky here, I see this thread. I dont mind turning off my Malwarebytes but it takes longer since theres no main off button and instead are 4 that each have to load to turn off/on.
My point being that this was never a problem before and I do not like that we cannot pick a file location with this new installer. The laugh is fucking stupid also when you are in fact getting it from the OFFICIAL website and you install it FROM the OFFICIAL installer and the files IT creates.
Edit: added suggestion.

Hi, got this problem, too. The installer for 7.5 hangs indefinitely after downloading, so i did some googling and got an inno unpacker and copypasted the install manually.
Got the thriller laugh, which isn't much of a problem, but the window resizing itself is just fucking terrible. After narrowing it down to not being a problem with the table i use, i figured maybe the install borked somehow
So i downloaded Lazarus and the 7.5 source and compiled CE myself, and it STILL HAPPENS. With the binary i compiled myself.
How do i get rid of this again. It renders the program pretty much unusable for any use cases longer tha like 3 minutes.
