Hello,

I am an amateur user so please forgive my tardiness. I am looking to change values that I can't edit in-game (eg. by losing ammo) associated with stats. Please see the attached image.

For reference, the game is MH:FU running on PPSSPP. By leveling up in-game, I was able to find and change the kitchen lvl value. However, the name, main ingredient, info level, colouration, and food specialty skill (the most important) fields I am unable to change. I am wondering how you would locate them given this restriction?

I am able to swap the order of the cats, and I can understand that maybe if you could see blocks of changed values in the memory you might be able to work out what it is and I do have a reference for locating this memory having found the kitchen level address, but I'm unsure how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated, thank-you.

You could try browsing the memory region near the kitchen lv value for some enumeration. e.g. Meat = 1, Fruit = 2, Vegetable = 3, etc. This is like finding a needle in a haystack, though. It could be something else entirely too.

Maybe find separate instances of items and compare their structures using Memory Viewer -> Tools -> Dissect data/structures. Finding the start of the structure might be annoying since it's an emulator. Guessing might be better.
