Cheat Engine

Forgive me if this is covered somewhere, but I can't manage to delete the actual installer. What happened here is essentially:
1. Wanted to use a mod for dark souls 3 that is a cheat engine script
2. Download the mod
3. Download cheat engine from cheatengine.org, it's flagged as a virus, I remove it from quarantine, run it
4. It asks me if I want to install AVG, feels sketch, cancels it mid installation
5. Can't delete the installer because I need permission from the user I am
6. Try and kill it with file assassin. No luck.

I trust you folks are kind people who are tired of virus allegations so I won't bother yall with that, I'm just assuming I did something wrong. I'm not opposed to installing it then uninstalling it, but this experience has kind of made me a little wary. Any help yall can offer?

Did you try rebooting?
File may be locked - could be caused by AV or anti-cheat, too.
