I thought the user space is lower half of memory space. But my cheat engine always default to 0000_7fff_ffff_ffff not 7fff_ffff_ffff_ffff as stop address for search. I had to manually change it often to make each search comprehensive.

Did I miss some setting?

Most OSs don't use the full 2^64 bytes of memory available because it's more efficient to limit it to less. The address space range can vary between windows versions, but the first 47 bits are enough to cover everything right now.

it's nit the os, it's the CPU.
They don't fully support 64 bit addressing yet

initially cpu's only supported 4 pagetable levels, but there are already some that support 5 levels, though that still isn't enough for full 64 bit

also, if there are more page levels it has to go through it will likely slow down the system, which is probably one of the designreasons cpu's didn't start with pml5+

also, CE asks windows what it's max usermode address is and shows that, so it it does support pml5 it will use it

according to intel plans pml5 will extend addressing space from 48bits to 57bits, but i dont see a good reason for it as it will cause more overhead more power consumption more ram resource.
