Trying to speed up 8 and 16 bit games in Retroarch. yes, I already know there's a "Warp" feature built into Retroarch but I'm trying to create a speed toggle with two different speeds - one for loading disk based games (ie VICE x64) and a separate speed hack for IN-game moments that's only a fraction as fast as the main Warp speed. Is this even possible for software-based games? If Cheat Engine can't do it, is there any other third party app that can?
ETA: Just a little update. Well, I know it's possible now to run 8-bit games with Cheat Engine's speed hack since i ran standalone WinVICE with CE and the speed hack and C64 games ran speeded up 5X. But for some reason, CE won't hook into that same 8-bit game running under retroarch. The retroarch interface itself runs 5X speed with CE's speed hack but not the game it's launching into its emulator core. Is there a way to force CE to work with games within Retroarch?
