My Installer keeps automatically closing no matter where I download it from and no matter what version.

I was trying to update from 6.6. I deleted all my old CE files and then downloaded the installer from the official website. I downloaded 6.7. Unblocked it through Right-Click/Properties (it doesn't run otherwise). Ran it. Automatically closed after a few seconds. Scanned my computer for viruses. All clean. Cleaned the registry, too. Still nothing. Downloaded 6.8. Same story. Downloaded from another mirror (uptodown). Results replicated. Now I'm lost.

Any help would be appreciated.

No idea. Maybe your antivirus is throwing a false positive.

Have you tried the portable version?

From downloads page https://cheatengine.org/downloads.php about 4 links down is a rar file with a version that doesn't need installed.

uninstall your av and reboot (to make sure it's gone) then try agsin

Thank you for pointing this out, sbryzl. My eyes were (and still is) too worn out to notice that. This has solved my problem. Also, no prompts from an AV about a false positive. Problem still persisted without an AV. Thanks again, though!
