Hello everyone

I have some basic skill in cheat engine and is suits most of my needs, but once in a while when creating my script and jmp'ing sometimes i was not returning to correct place, for me it was seen as a bug as i was sure that after return u suppose to get back to to where you jmp from. Obviously it was me who had a bug as now i discovered that there is a connection between jmp return and bytes (and opcodes), after some digging i was unable to find what exactly the connection is and how to make the right calculation.
I did stumble upon this post :
https://www.cheatengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=584772&sid=8fa6bc74065942eb17fff8d7c1e9b971
But i was unable to understand as it did not make sense to me.

I have currently a live example if needed.

Any help on that matter would be greatly appreciated.

Jumps are calculated offsets which are calculated from the destination and source addresses, minus 5 for the 'JMP' opcode itself.
