you sure its not about your ram resources and processing power?
it happens sometimes when a software is using multithreading tech, and high amount of ram resources.
remember that memory scanning, aob signature generating, and activating aob scripts can cause this delay when no more resources available or processing power is weak. _________________

I mentioned this issue as a bug. in a thread below.. Does when dragging the window does the mouse keep going and the window play catch up some times?
6.6 works with less hiccups for me. |

thats related to fps and dpi (usually for older specs and OS's) it have to do nothing with CE.
it happens on crt but not lcd (usually), led dont have such issues. _________________

not sure if CE is heavy enough for my PC setup.
it's like what @theboy181 said, response is like playing catch up.
only affected is app connected to CE, (CE and the target game)
other app are responsive (firefox, notepad++)
my PC
Core i5-2500
24 GB memory (2x8gb, 2x4gb)
GT730 2gb GDDR5
tested CE 5.6.1 = no lag
tested CE 6.6 = lag
will try other versions
::
target game:
Wargame EE v17, window mode 1024x728 4:3, mid setting
CE settings:
mem viewer open, script editor open,
not scanning anything, just editing in the script.
lag response
::
target game:
ARMA 3, window mode 1152x864 custom setting
CE settings:
mem viewer open, script editor open,
not scanning anything, just editing in the script.
lag response
................
................
bit of discovery
when memory viewer is close , script editor still open,
the lag is gone |

ce is not heavy, but it perform heavy work.
if its like playing catch up, then its your monitor.
and as you mentioned ce 5.x dont have such issue because dpi that time was different.
so again its your monitor fps and dpi (dpi apply to OS too). _________________

I have been seeing some thing like that but in uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse driver I found it went away for about a month, but after running UPlay recently it seems to be back. But in my findings it seems to be a Windows on some processors thing, that or I think I may need to replace a RAM card.
EDIT:
I also found that removing/uninstalling all Microsoft C++ redistributes (I had 12 of the same version and like 6 others), and reinstalling the latest one helped for a while as well.
But mine seemed to also be triggered by heavy network traffic as well.
EDIT2:
But I still haven't figured out if it's my RAM, writes to the hard drive, or just Windows. But I'm leaning towards RAM and/or Windows.
EDIT3:
I also did a full wipe and resetup, thinking that maybe my system get infected, but the error came back after an hour with the network cards removed, and very little processor and RAM resources being used. _________________

can you elaborate on this?
my monitor is Samsung SyncMaster Magic CX943B 19-inch LCD Monitor,
DVI input. |

okay, these are the result of my testing
**LAG only happens when memory viewer window is open.
target app = calc.exe
type of test: select drag memory viewer window and shake it (left-right)
CE ver 5.6.1 up to 6.3
= no lag
CE 6.4 up to 6.7
= lag, mem viewer window stop moving every 5-6 sec
tried shaking the calc.exe window (fast), all other windows will minimize, no lag,
tried shaking the calc.exe window (slow), CE and mem viewer is open in the back ground, no lag,
why is this happening to my pc? |

found out what was causing the lag,
it seems CE 6.4 to 6.7 is in conflict with McAfee VSE
is there a solution for this?
besides changing and disabling McAfee VSE. |
