The defaults are pretty good in general. It depends on what game though. Modern games can have many levels of pointer due to high-level programming, and also very high offsets due to lots of data being stored. Simpler games tend to have smaller offsets and less levels.

tick generate pointermap and then restart the game and find the address again

then tick "compare results with other saved pointermap(s)" , select the pointermap you made earlier and enter/select the old address (This savbes your harddisk and rescan time)

If you wish to increase your scanspeed a LOT but with a chance of missing some pointers, tick "Max diffderent offsets per node" (and maybe change it to 3 or 4)

you can then increase your level and max offset value can be 9999999.

If it is a full object oriented game, you may also go to advanced options, and tick that the first entry must point to a vtable (class instance)

				| Will this work as good as normal pointer scanning?

- huge game:

with a lot of threads, as well as creating and destroying threads after some actions.

- tiny game:

there is many, but GTA_VC is the one that I didn't end up with lot of pointers.

world at wat too, just same as gtavc small amount of pointers and pointer paths.
