Hello, i'm trying to find static address following ce tutorial; the game is medieval kingdom wars.

I'm trying to found value of wood that i have discovered that was a float;
when i find the value in cheat engine i go in "Find out what accesses this address" then i scan again with value that cheat engine suggest me with hex option enabled, but result is zero.

Can someone help me understand where i'm wrong?

why you dont go for pointer scan option instead of doing it manually.
find your address, right-click, pointer scan this address.

doing it manually require some basic understanding and experiment.

There's a direct correlation between pointer scan failure and open tabs. The less open tabs you have, the more likely it is that you'll find a pointer.

Seriously though, the pointer scan is good. If you look at your instruction you found, it says eax+04. 4 is therefore the offset of the last pointer. You can enter that into the pointer scan to narrow the search down

answer 1, search for eax address.
answer 2, offset is 4 hex.

you suppose know how to do it correctly, if no then CE tutorial provide such useful info on how to do that for single lvl ptr, or multi.

Dear as you see from the screen, after found value in float and after saved it i have clicked on "Find out what accesses this address" and then i take eax address and i have putted it in new search with hex flagged; no result; i read tutorial about pointer->pointer->pointer->etc...-> base address (multilevel pointer); i know that i have to save offset everytime search for new pointer; Problem was that first scan of eax address give me no result. So i have tried to make pointer scan for this address but to be honest i don't know how i have to use it. Can someone explain me?

Hello, i've tried following method:
found float value; system give me three results;
i clicked on one of these pointer scan; after it finishes, i get out from the game, next i started again the game, scan for value, but result is empty table.

Please help me!

you should not restart with level one pointer, at least get 3.

What means?

I'm looking for wood value in the game:
I searched this value and ihave obtained three value; when value in game change, one change instantly while other two after some seconds. So i click on first value and i clicked on pointer scan for this value.
I left all option default excepts for "nr of thread scanning" set to 8, maximum offset value setted to 6000, and Max Level 4.

So after this, i closed the game. Then i started it again and i have attached ce to this again; I searched again for wood value; i rescan with every address value of results, but nothing..

I don't know why it don't work..

If you don't get any results from pointer scan, it means your level or max. offset is not high enough.
