I don't understand why the trainers section was closed, considering all the trainers there are supposed to contain offsite links anyway.
But that may not be enough. They could slap you with thepiratebay argument, and say you're a content aggregator/facilitator.

Github sucks, i mean it is nice for group projects but it is not without its problems.
And it still will not solve the problem, a copyright notice to them and they will shut you down. Which is actually the problem with other public sites as well.

Well, you know what. If it was me running this, unless it was a certified letter by a reliable legal administration of some sort and it was a DMCA takedown, I would ignore it and throw it in the garbage as if nothing happened.
You can't let stuff like this scare you or even force you to make changes unless there was absolute proof and guarantee that is has an legal standing. You know how many people use images and other copyrighted material for general use? No one is selling anything on here, and further more last I checked there was a disclaimer on here that stated that all this is for educational purposes, no? If not, might want to change that now. That way they can't say we are are all literal hackers trying to ruin the internet...
If this truely is how this is gonna end and we cannot post tables/trainers anymore. Then I guess im leaving...

This would be by far the easiest way, no changes to the site whatsoever and each table/upload would be the responsibility of it's creator.
Authors could set-up a GDrive/Dropbox/OneDrive or whatever and keep their tables in there.

anyone knows if recifence is going to post his tables somewhere. I need his work for my gameplay. In HOI IV and WH TW.
External hosting seems the only option btw. however what are te rules if the site is hosted in a proxy or another server in a country where these rules do not stricly apply(like china). Is it a possibility that that wil work.
Also what i find strange about this whole situation is. Why did they do a DDoS attack? If they would do it that is. Because the attack was at the same time as the claim right? on twitter it was suggested it could not be a coincidence.
Also i find it strange that there was a claim. It is not like CE is pirating or stealing anything. And such claims only come from big corporations if they smell money or are losing money. That is why i find this strange. There is nothing to gain. Right? It is easier for game devs to detect in online games cheats and cheat tables and it. For singleplayer games why would they care.
Also game devs are mostly not rich and Publishers could not care less. Money is money and they are not losing any.
So my conclusion on this whole business is that it or a troll, A prick. Or someone who hates CE for some reason(would not know) I work in the game industry and things like CE are not really dangerious. In singleplayer games it is generaly considered good that if on CE there is a Table for it. it means people love it enough to do so.
Multiplayer cheating i think is wrong. Only if like every player does it. it does not matter much. but still

It is the dropbox shared folder link, by changing "dl=0" to "dl=1" as akumakuja28 suggested.
It should open as a Zipped file with my shared folder content.
The link seems not change as I add more file or directory under it on local disk.
Downside is ... eh, no download numbers to showoff~

The user manual check, or automatic check on openning a game process
with game_hash HHH. What it check are his subscribed developers INDEX
file on internet, if HHH exist in some INDEX file , then check its
associated updateTime, if it is newer than the previosly downloaded version of this dev and
this game hash, download the resource to user's disk, eg. in a directory
<resourceRootPath>/game_hash/dev_id/<filePath>.
(dev_id is assigned by user, as long as he know who the dev is and
uniquely associated with this dev's INDEX url)
The problem is automate the processes.
btw, for a good 128bit hash algorithm, there is statiscally 2 the same
hash for every 2^64 different content, if i'm not wrong~

I found the game hash idea may not work, as there may be different *.exe versions exist for same game same game version, ie. pirated with different crack. People like me using crack exclusively may have no intersection with legit paid game user by game hash identity.
A common protocol as predprey said is need.
