I need to add some kind of really high pitch sound haven't really decided on it. I'm also gonna make the 808 a bit more loud and find some good distortion for it.

nope this is a classic 2dope beat, you can tell by the way it is (2dope synth mainly)
idk if your being serious but thats the nature of all trap beats, theyre made with the same basic structure and instruments (808, kick, hihat, snare)

Pretty much and mostly the same patterns even with those sounds. What differs is mainly instrumentation. I'm thinking about starting to burn some beat tapes soon and I ordered a voice tag from the niggas who did 808 mafia's... in a couple weeks I'm going to get a logo and business cards with the logo and my info done.... starting to really invest in myself.

Needs more kick but i dont know if before or after 0:19
it builds up to plateau and then goes down or even higher to continue it.

Thanks bro... and yeah I'm only a day or so into it I'll keep working on it a bit. It stilll needs like a panning synth in the 10kish frequency range. I'll also think about what I can do for the kicks - maybe a bit more compression or some low end distortion coupled with a kick roll somewhere or an extra kick.
