|
|
Trying to run BlueStacks but I get an error saying it can run much better if I enable Virtualization... BIOS says it's enabled
BIOS -> advanced -> cpu configuration -> secure virtual machine mode -> enabled (default)
board is a msi 870a-g54
processor is amd phenom II x4 965 BE
BlueStacks is choppy and jumps around a lot... freezes for 5 second intervals every few seconds if im doing almost anything inside an app.
Ive done a lot of looking around and can't seem to find an answer... ive attempted to disabled svm.. reboot and all my USB ports lost power.. had to dig for an old ps/2 keyboard to change the settings back so i could use my usb devices. Still shows disabled on speccy after disabling and enabling in BIOS.
is this because of hyperthreading not being supported?

Don't want to seem stupid but Ive no clue what you mean by that... eg vmware? fresh install of windows with up to date drivers all around, bios up to date, chipset drivers also up to date.
I'm also unable to get to my hardware acceleration info.. it's greyed out. dont know if that is relative or not.

you don't have Hyper-V enabled in windows ?
DBVM isn't running?
Avast isn't running ? (that runs as a hypervisor as well)

Hyper-v isn't in the list of features I can disable/enable in Windows
no DBVM
Avast was running, after uninstalling and rebooting, speccy still says supported/disabled.... BUT bluestacks no longer lags...
So maybe just a different antivirus?
