What would happen if you miss the vein? Would it not work very good or hurt or would you recognize it very quickly and reinsert?

Sorry to hear about your friend. A friend I met while I was in West Virginia almost died OD on heroin. I was literally about to fly out that day and had to cancel my flight when I heard he was in the ER. He has a kid too. Shit was scary

a few things will and a few things could happen. you will get high. you won't get the rush sought after from initially IVing heroin. although, after fucking up veins even when registered your circulation eventually gets to the point where you don't get that rush literally right as you finish/are half through plunging the heroin into your veins. but i got off track. but yeah some will absorb into your muscles slowly over time. so you'll get a weaker high but still enjoyable and better than smoking. you'll get a bump around/next to your vein thaty you missed of liquid heroin just sitting there to fester. it ends at the tissue around the area making it black leaving a dark purple/black mark on your arm. and could take a couple days to a month for the bump to slowly absorb into your body and leave. but then you still got that purple scar forever. and what could end up happening is it damages the vein/surrounding area and could even cause an abscess. have had one abscess years ago cuz i never used to draw blood to make sure i was in the vein i was pretty good by eye and feel based on how often i did it you practicie at anything enough you get better. but if it hurt i knew i wasn't in a vein and i was missing the shot. mine wasn't very bad. i posted pictures on here of it when i got it. i ended up lancing it myself with my pinky fingernail and squeezing it as hard as possible to drain it myself. first some black gunk (dead tissue) shot out that i thought was some heroin and wanted to snort it, then a shit ton of white puss shot out then a ton of blood. could have been a lot worse and cause some serious medial issues including death. left a big dark purple mark too...
