Cheat Engine

So i came across this problem recently when trying to hack games played through the dolphin emulator. Id find the value that i was looking for with ease. The problem is that what ever i try to do with said value, the address of that value will no longer exist. whether its freezing the value or changing it. it will just display "??" as the value. id browse the memory region and id see a good chunk of addresses where the address for my searched value was located also no longer exist. am i doing something wrong? is there a way to go around this?

What if you simply edit the value instead of freezing it? Does the same problem occur?

I'd usually find out what piece of code accesses my address and hook it. Using a check in the hook would then retrieve the address I'm after.

I though many of variables used in Dolphin are in Big Endian type ?
