Compared with Apple's profit margin:
https://ycharts.com/companies/AAPL/profit_margin
And exacerbate that by the fact that Walmart hires a lot more workers quantity wise than Apple does. Let's take the CEO's pay this year, which is $35 million. Source:

And let's see how many employees Walmart has: 2.2 million.
So if we took the CEO's pay and divied it up among each Walmart employee equally, every person would get a whopping $15.91 raise in salary per year! I'm sure the CEO's pay is just too damn high. Societies have an interesting way to discredit people's success by looking at their success and not what it took to get there.

Ohhh, so because apple has 23 % net profits, and Wal-Mart has but a mere 2.9%, it must mean the Wal-Mart is just skating by, right?

Except you're just looking at numbers without applying them.

Apple brought in 57.6 B in revenue last year. At that nice 23%, it means their profits were 13.2 B.

Wal-Mart, on the other hand, brought in 482 B last year, couple that with their poor, measly 2.9% profit margin, and you're looking at 13.9B in profits.

So, Wal-Mart made more money in profits than Apple did last year..

Also, the argument that Wal-Mart has so many employees, so you can't raise their wages, because that would bankrupt them is some really faulty logic. Let's say, for the sake of rhetoric, that the minimum wage was half what it is now, and Wal-Mart had twice as many employees (because, you know, it's cheap as fuck), does that mean they should never raise their wages because it would just be "too costly"? It might mean the loss of jobs for some people, but that's a symptom of them bloating up their stores with starvation waged employees.

I don't know why you brought the CEO's pay into this, it's not like he pockets all the profits, but he does get paid an insane amount, if that's what you're getting at.

Let's say you divy up then $13.2b then. Then each worker gets an additional $6000 per year, which does sound pretty good. The hourly wage increase, however, would just be around $3 since most workers work 2000 hours per year. It's only been most recently that Walmart raised it from $7.25 to $9, so really, it can only raise it to around $10.25 now to just break even. It certainly helps the workers, but it doesn't help to jeopardize the current shareholders' earnings. And it doesn't really help the workers that much at all in the end, since most spend it on junk.

Anyways, it'll be good if Trump wins the Republican primaries. Then there's no way Bernie could lose the presidential election!

Then it needs less workers.

Just stop. "They don't even know what to do with their money, so fuck 'em."

I feel like the Republicans have already lost. The big question is if Bernie can really beat Hillary in the democratic primaries. Go vote for him, if you can, when that time rolls around.

Black America is stuck in a poverty cycle; a cycle that sees no end in sight. Black families who are poverty ridden give birth to new children who will likely be the same. Racial hatred in America is for the most part absent in the new generation, but the minorities still remain to live in the slums. Countless numbers of Governmental programs are designed to break this poverty cycle, but in 2015 those programs are holding Black America back. Welfare is great to help people in need to get back on their feet, no doubt. However, much of Black America (and the rest of America too) are on Welfare so long that they don't want to get up on their feet anymore. Kids from a young age don't plan for their future because they know the safety nets of tax payers will save them.

Unless a major change is made in Welfare, minorities will still continue to be poverty struck for generations to come. It won't be the White Man's fault anymore, it will be their own fault.

You're completely right. The black community will be staying on welfare and unhappiness thanks to how welfare is structured to be nicer than a minimum wage job. It's difficult enough to make the leap from welfare to a job, yet it's even more difficult when you make more on welfare than doing the job. That's why I don't believe in being any more generous to the poor than we are right now. The solution is to convert tax breaks for the rich to tax breaks for the middle class. I agree with Hillary Clinton's plan on her profit sharing thing, it's a step in the right direction.

However, more government bloat and mismanagement that Hillary (and Bernie) proposes far outweighs the crude remarks about illegal immigrants by Trump. Why? Because Hilary and Bernie actually believe in them while Trump is doing that for any good or bad attention, not because he actually believes in it.

Trump speaks the truth, illegal immigrants do no good for America except rape white women and drug cartels.
