Hi eveyone ,

I am new to CE, I did tourials quest of CE till multiple pointer. I tried to hack a game but fail. Details as follow:

+)Main target: hacking % success of upgrading skill.
Method:
1/.Search floating type ( cause skill have % like 3.25%)
2/.Found the address
3/.Edit value and lock -> Failed. It didnot work in the game.
4/.I changed the way, right click on value -> find out what write to this address, follow like tourial of CE I got

There are 3 value of opcode that write to the value I found before.
Click on replace -> delete them -> close/save -> back to main CE, edit value to 100% and yeah, game change to 100% but upgrade still failed, it seems only change for graphic, the true value in game still is around 6%. so this way fail.
5/.Follow step 4 but click on first line -> more information and got the address like pic 1A33CE40. I noticed that 3 value that found before when click tab more information will give the same address 1A33CE40. I want to ask at this step, what is offset ? offset of this case is ? offset is use for ?

Back to CE, New Scan -> change to Hex scan ( this step I must change type to All cause at Flost type, there is no hex scan ). Scan 1A33CE40.
and bingbo... wow there are alot of address, I dont know that is the true address ? Any advise in this case ? @.@

I failed this way !
5/. I tried multi pointer search.
Right click on value -> pointer scan to this address and I got some value.
But in this way, (as tourial said the old value will drop to 0 ) but my value is 6 and only 1 value, and I dont see it drop to 0 even I changed % sucess in game. Did i do something wrong ?
Select rescan pointer. Put in the new address you have found(The one in the main CE window that does NOT have the value of 0) <-- I dont have any value that down to 0.
What should I do now ?

So what is the way to succeed in this hacking ? What step can use in the CE tourial ? ( step 4,5,6,7 .. ?).
All I can do for now only make 100% graphic success, the true value % success in game still remain and if I upgrade skill. It fail.
Looking for advance people to solve this matter !

Maybe the actual value is encrypted and then stored in memory. I have seen this in many games. So go for an Unknown Initial Value search. After changing the value in game, go for next scan with changed value, sometimes just open the game and do nothing so that the value you are searching for is not changed. Now go for next scan with Unchanged Value. After a few scans, your address list will contain less addresses. Now take one address at a time and freeze it. On running the game, try to change the value and if it doesn't change then you have found the right address. Sometimes this method may not work because in some cases, we cannot change the pointer value directly. Most of the time, the above method works.

Hi Greatee,

I am following your guide, but it's a hugo numbers of value ~`45 milions.
Steps at follow:
-Open game , search unknown initial ( should I set type Float ? , set all I got 45 milions result)
-Change value in game -> Next Scan / Change Value ( got ~ 30 milions result )
-Leave the game as it is -> Next scan / Unchange Value ( got ~ 20 milions result )
Now I still next scan unchange value and result drop down very slowly, I did around 50 times next scan unchange value / type : All / but still got ~ 8 milions result now. But the problem now each times search, value drop just around 10.000, example last result show 8.486.945 result, next scan unchange value show 8.419.723 result. It may take the whole day until I find less result.
Do you have any advise for this problem ? Can i search float type all the time cause the % success of upgrading is float type ( which I got before in previous post).

I stopped search type all and change type float. I got some green address, is it the true address ?

I picked 2 green address that I think it is true value cause it have same value in game. But... failed, Edit locked value and change value in game, value in game change as normal T_T. arr, so hard for me !

1. If the target has any online features, the data may be handled remotely, on some server. If so, your efforts will most likely be rendered futile.

2. Not all values that are represented in a game will appear that way in code. For example, just because your screen says 87%, does not mean that the value that controls that data will appear in a similar fashion. It could be represented by something totally different.

3. Sometimes, you have to turn off fast scan.

4. If the target has some anti-cheat feature implemented, it may have to be removed or altered before you will be able to find and edit the correct values.

Dear METHOS,

1/. Yes, it is an online game, but I am an amatuer, I dont know is it on server side or not ? How to know that ? Cause I did some step but I am not sure I did all right so I dont dare to be sure it is on server side or client side.

2/.I also think about this, it just like if screen says 87% but I think the true value somehow was canculated by another way, 87% just be a final number appear after that. But I have no knowledge to find out.
3/.I will try this way, still search unknown value ?
4/.Anti cheat: is it like my first post ? check what write to this address - > replace -> delete -> save/close to disable anti cheat ? I did it before but just appear as visual number, the true value still remain and upgrading failed. I even can edit to 9999% of success but just fail if press upgrade button .
Please teach me more !

I will try on other things such as treasure or something else then....
May be data of this thing is on server side.
