depends what you want to be able to do
$700 is enough to play most games on medium 60fps 1080p
though if the 970 is actually as good as it seems it will be, if you save up some extra you can be baller for the next 8 years~ if this gen of consoles last that long again

you could def build a pretty good rig with that much

heres a $628 build that's pretty fucking good for its pricepoint

and $787

really fucking good prices on those and the cards kick ass. cpu could use a little bit more of a push but this should get you ultra 60fps 1080p in Battlefield 3 (my current rig isn't too far from that and it pushes that)

DO NOT get intel cpu at that price point
amd FX-8350 are only $170, and will be fine for ANY game, gpu will always bottleneck it. the 8320 is only $150 as well, and is basically the same

yeah, was going to mention the passmark scores on the cpu vs an amd cpu of the same price but didn't feel like finding a replacement mobo

on another note is adding items as parametric from filter a new PCPartpicker option? that is insanely useful
