ok, so in newmem you use

label(somename)
registersymbol(somename)
.
.
.
somename:
dd 0

then in the address list you add somename, when the script is active somename is set to 0, and if you wanted to change the value you'd double click it and enter a new value. How could I write a script to toggle the value of somename instead? like enable=1,disable=0?

wow I don't know how I couldn't think of that. I kept re-declaring somename in a new script and using mov [somename],0 and it wouldn't work... idiot me =/ thanks boss
