So i upgraded my RAM to 8gb 1600 mhz for my laptop and I think its only running at 800mhz
Am i suppose to look at NB freq?
EDIT: i looked at the SPD and it says PC3-12800H (800MHz), why is it 800MHz if they say its suppose to be 1600mhz

So it's not each stick going to 1600 mhz then, that's what i was lead to believe, should have done my homework
I thought each stick would run to the speed of 1600 mhz

They already do.
Think of it as both of them having two lanes with 800mhz each on them.
